Duane Bernt
Chief Executive Officer
Smart USA & Stadion Money Management
As Chief Executive Officer, Duane Bernt is shaping the firm's long-term vision and growth strategy, combining cutting-edge technology with deep investment expertise to deliver retirement solutions at scale. Under his leadership, Stadion has been named a Pensions & Investments Best Places to Work honoree for seven consecutive years.
Duane also serves as the Chair of the Board of Smart USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Smart Pension Ltd based in London as well as a member of the global senior leadership team. Prior to joining the firm, he held several senior management positions including Corporate Treasurer and Retirement Plan Solutions Chief Financial Officer at Lincoln Financial.
Duane holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Nebraska. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Michael Chlan
Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operating Officer
As the visionary architect of Stadion's technology infrastructure, Michael is responsible for the development and evolution of the systems that power every aspect of Stadion’s business. His leadership has been instrumental in building the critical capabilities that enable Stadion to scale, innovate, and serve its clients with excellence. In addition to his technology leadership, Michael also oversees Investor Services and Relationship Management.
Michael joined Stadion in 2001 with more than 20 years of technology experience and a proven track record of building transformative systems. At Equifax, he led the development of new databases and data selection technologies that were central to the creation of ChoicePoint, Inc. as an independent entity. Prior to joining Stadion, he served as Chief Technology Officer of Consumer Financial Network, where he built the first multi-vendor financial services shopping and comparison platform which was an innovation that attracted significant investment from GE Capital.

Michael Isaac
Chief Compliance Officer
Michael joined Stadion in 2010 bringing with him a deep and distinguished background in securities regulation and compliance. As Chief Compliance Officer, he is committed to ensuring that Stadion operates with the highest standards of integrity.
Prior to joining Stadion, Michael served as Chief Compliance Officer for a national independent broker/dealer, where he oversaw the development and administration of a comprehensive compliance program. Before that, he was a securities examiner with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD now FINRA). During that tenure, he worked in close coordination with the NASD Department of Enforcement, the SEC, the NYSE, and state regulators.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of West Georgia.

Kerr McGowan
Chief Product Officer
Kerr has been part of the Stadion team since 2007 and has been instrumental in driving product innovation at Stadion, consistently finding new ways to enhance and expand the firm's capabilities. His experience across portfolio management and sales has given him a well-rounded perspective that informs his leadership and strengthens his ability to deliver solutions that are both strategically sound and client focused.
As Chief Product Officer, Kerr is responsible for product development, portfolio strategy, and marketing across Stadion's suite of investment and technology solutions. His deep knowledge of the firm and its capabilities make him a trusted partner to Stadion's strategic relationships and delivering meaningful solutions to advisors, plan sponsors, and retirement plan participants.
Kerr earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Georgia. Outside of the office, enjoys running, golf, and soccer, and loves spending time with his wife Leah and their four children.

Dan Fay
Chief Distribution Officer
Dan Fay joined Stadion in 2018 and currently serves as Chief Distribution Officer where he is responsible for overseeing the firm's sales and business development teams. Drawing on a collaborative leadership style and a wealth of industry experience, Dan is focused on driving Stadion's growth and expanding its reach across key distribution channels. Dan oversees Stadion’s institutional relationships, including retirement recordkeeping partners, retirement advisor firms, and asset managers.
Prior to joining Stadion, Dan served as Senior Advisor Relations Manager at Financial Engines and as a National Accounts Manager at MassMutual Retirement Services, where he drove business development initiatives. He also held a variety of roles with New York Life Retirement Plan Services earlier in his career.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Bentley University. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
*The Chartered Financial Analyst ® (CFA ® ) is a qualification for finance and investment professionals, particularly in the fields of investment management and financial analysis of securities. The designation is an international professional certification offered by the CFA Institute to financial analysts who complete a series of examinations. The CFA designation is awarded to candidates who must pass each of three six-hour exams, possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, and have four years of qualified professional work experience. The CFP® (Certified Financial Planner®) designation is issued and administered – and its standards enforced—by the CFP Board, a non-profit organization that serves the public by fostering professional standards in personal financial planning. Stadion Money Management is not affiliated with the CFP Board and has no role in any processes by which the CFP Board issues or administers the CFP designation nor any role in the enforcement of standard thereof.
Certified Public Accountant is the title of qualified accountants in numerous countries in the English-speaking world. It is generally equivalent to the title of chartered accountant in other English-speaking countries. In the United States, the CPA is a license to provide accounting services to the public.
